Programs

For more than 20 years, Full Basket Belize has partnered with communities across Belize to strengthen education, health, and environmental well-being. We assist local leaders, schools, and organizations through our core programs: FBB Scholars and the FBB Community Grants, funded entirely through the generosity of donors who believe in the power of partnership at the grass roots in Belize.

FBB Community Grants Program

We award Community Grants to support community-identified, locally-led projects that improve education, health, environmental and economic opportunity in Belize. Over the past 20 years, we supported over XXX projects, including nine new projects in 2025.

Examples of past FBB Community Grant projects include:
  • Environmental education initiatives and clean-up projects
  • Small-scale local economic initiatives that empower communities
  • School renovations and classroom supplies
  • Health and wellness programs for students and communities

FBB Scholars Program

The FBB Scholars Program provides scholarships to Belizean secondary school students with strong academic potential and demonstrated financial need. FBB Scholars are able to complete secondary school and open doors to further education, employment, and leadership opportunities.

Key highlights of the program:
  • This year, FBB is supporting 51 students with scholarships of up to $500 USD each.
  • Scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need
  • Students receive up to $500 USD per year for school expenses

Our Impact

While our budget is modest, it continues to grow each year — allowing us to deepen our reach and expand our impact. Because FBB is a nonprofit organization run completely on volunteer labor, every dollar donated goes directly toward scholarships and community grants. Your support directly benefits students and communities across Belize.
