Small grants for real impact
Since 2006, we have awarded over 120 grants to communities in every corner of Belize. Since FBB is 100% volunteer-run, every cent you donate goes directly to recipients on the ground.
2026 Grant Recipients
This year, $10,000 in grant funding was split between ten grassroots projects focused on four key areas:
Sustainable Energy & Infrastructure
- Belize Zoo (Cayo): Upgrading the Mahogany Heights Village Health Clinic.
- Our Lady of Sorrows (Toledo): New solar power system for classroom tech.
- Santa Cruz RC (Toledo): Solar gel batteries for an off-grid community.
- Santa Teresa RC (Toledo): Solar grid upgrades for reliable electricity.
Education & Digital Literacy
- Belize National Library (Belize City): New greenhouse educational hub at Port Loyola.
- Indian Creek RC (Toledo): Retrofitting library and computer resource space.
- Sunday Wood RC (Toledo): Energy-efficient classroom TVs for digital lessons.
Culture, Youth & Wellness
- Kanan Miatsil (Orange Walk): Reviving the ancient Maya ballgame, Pok-ta-Pok.
- Holy Family RC (Stann Creek): New physical education and sports curriculum.
Vocational Training
- Peini Treasure Trove (Toledo): “Creative Threads” sewing project for women’s self-employment.
